VA Proper Pets

If you could have ANY animal as a pet, what would you choose? It would feel like part of the family wouldn’t it-so why not give it a “Proper Portrait”?  In this lesson, you will first draw your pet, deciding on a full-face view or profile portrait.  Next, you’ll create the head using white and colored clay, making spheres and coils (adding an armature for grades four and up.)  Design the clothes for your proper pet using beads, feathers, and the elaborate influences of the Elizabethan Era. Your finished, three-dimensional portrait will be displayed in a gold frame ready to be hung on the wall!
